The GTA Faith Alliance was established on December 11, 2002.  Don Meredith organized 25 Pastors and community leaders in the GTA to meet with Toronto Police Chief Julian Fantino and his staff.  The discussion focussed on the escalation of youth violence in the city and how faith leaders can assist with its eradication.  The aim is to build stronger relationships with the police and the Black Community, while finding programs that can help our young people.

Members of the GTA Faith Alliance believe our support of churches and other faith-based grassroots organizations is a necessary and vital means of repairing the social fabric.   This can in turn restore the economic vitality in urban neighbourhoods where youth crime and violence has drastically escalated.
